How the price is worked out
Cents per point is the cash you avoided paying, divided by the points you spent. Any cash you still paid at booking, such as taxes and fees, is taken off first, because the points didn’t cover it.
It doesn’t count the rewards you’d have earned paying cash. The Award vs Cash Calculator does.
